Who are you?!

      Ask yourself this question. Who Am I ? I’m sure that there are several thoughts running through your mind, but really who are you? Or better yet who do you think you are.

      Many people try to discover who they are through friend’s t.v shows or even music.
      But the only true way to find out who you are is through Jesus Christ. Think about it, who can tell you who you are better than the one who created you. He knows you better than you know yourself, he knows you better than your parents or your friends know you.  He knows you better because he knows your heart. Your friends may know your personality and they may know a few things about you, but do they know the secret things in your heart? No only JESUS Christ knows!!!

    So, you have to be careful who you surround yourself with.

·          I suggest that the next time you are around your homegirls , homeboys, or even church members that you may associate with, ask yourself do these people really accept me for who i am? Evaluate the circumstances, for example ask yourself if I Didn’t have a nice car or if I didn’t dress nice would they still be my friends? You will find the results to be pretty shocking.

·         You have to choose your friends wisely. Simply because friends can bring you down. Depending on what type of friends you may have. Are your friends a positive influence or a negative influence? Meaning do they help you stay out of trouble or do they get you in trouble?! Do they make you feel good about yourself or do they make you feel bad about yourself?!

   Know your  self –worth

·          you have to know how valuable and how precious you are. So I want to encourage you all.

I want to encourage you to be you. Don’t try to be like nobody else. Think about how the world would be if everyone acted the same, or dressed the same. We will be bored and bland.

·         Love yourself for who you are. If you like to wear your purple, orange, and blue, then wear it, because the only opinion that matters is yours and Jesus’s of course.

·         Embrace your talents and gifts and use them for the Glory of God. Whatever you are good in use that to glorify God. Remember at the end of the day the only one we need to please is God.

·         You are beautiful and the bible says in psalms 139:14 that “ you are fearfully and wonderfully made”

·         So embrace who you are, because I guarantee that there is no one else in the universe like you.

·         You have to remind yourself that you are a child of the most high God. Who can do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or think.

·         Remember, God does not make any mistakes. And you are not a mistake.

·         Finally, don’t let a man, woman, or friends, define who you are, instead be defined by Jesus Christ alone.

Bless the Lord during your trial!!

             Sometimes the trials of life seem to way us down. Trials makes us feel empty, defeated, and it seems that God is not close  or doesn’t care about us. But I'm here to tell you that God does care, he cares a lot about you which is why he sent his only son to die for you. So that you may know him and live in his beautiful freedom!!! I was reading Job last night and I just got really blessed by it. I was only in Job 1, but I have read job before but It felt like it never really applied to me. One thing that I believe that kept Jobs’ faith so strong is that when he was tested he didn’t mope around, feeling sad and sorry for himself. No !! HE WORSHIPED THE LORD. He blessed him by saying “ Naked came I out of my mothers womb and naked Will I return; the Lord gave and the Lord hath taketh away ; BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD. In all of this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly” . Job 1:21-22.  How many times have we foolishly blamed God for our problems? Too many to count right. The Lord is faithful in everything that he does. There has never been a time past or present where the Lord did not deliver like he promised. God is the one who is running things, not us. And just because you have been praying for years for him to come through on something does not mean that he has forgotten about you or that he doesn’t care about you. God does things on his own timing. And I don’t know about you but I’d rather wait on his timing, because whether you have noticed or not his timing is always perfect!!! So the next time that life’s problems are slapping you in the face, Lift up your hands and bless the Lord and watch how your negative situation can turn into a positive one!!!

Oh the Joy's of real Friendship!

Friendship is such a beautiful thing. Especially if you are surrounded by awesome, positive and supportive people. One thing that I hate to see is people who hang out together,  but really don’t like each other. They party and drink together share all of their business  with each  other but when it comes down to sacrificing something for the other I am pretty sure that they are no where to be found.  Real friendship is not defined by what type of car the other drives, or how someone may dress, or popularity status. All of that is NONSENSE.  I believe that true friendship is having someone there who has your back no matter what.  They not only have your back but they don’t talk about you behind your back either. Instead they pray for you and lift you up with positive words.

True friends don’t make you feel worthless or inadequate. Real friends would not make you feel like you to have to work to earn their friendship or be this or that or wear this or that just to be friends with them.  With a true friend you don’t have to TRY TO FIT in You just FIT IN. You just click .  There is no jealously, no envy, no back stabbing, no fakeness none of that. A real friend would not try to pressure you into doing anything that you do not want to do whether good or bad.

 I thank God for my friends, for my lovely, beautiful powerful sisters in Christ. They are totally awesome and I wouldn’t choose any other friends to hang with, to pray with, to share my heart with. God placed them in my life and if you are willing to let go of the dead friendships in your life he could do the same for you too.
